Lunch with Amity Shlaes
Author of Coolidge
Stamford Sheraton | 700 East Main Street, Stamford, CT 06901
Thursday, March 28, 2013 | Lunch 11:30 a.m.
Amity Shlaes, author of The Forgotten Man, delivers a provocative reexamination of America's thirtieth president, Calvin Coolidge, and the decade of unparalleled growth that the nation enjoyed under his leadership.
After a divisive period of government excess and corruption, Coolidge restored national trust in Washington and achieved what few other peacetime presidents have: he left office with a federal budget smaller than the one he inherited.
Coolidge gestures to the country we once were and reminds us of qualities we had forgotten and can use today.
Lunch will begin at 11:30 a.m. Lunch tickets are $30 per person and include free parking. Lunch and book tickets are $55 per person and include free parking.
